Well, it has been awhile since I've updated, so I suppose I should...hehe.....First of all I wanted to thank those of you that sent me birthday wishes....All in all it was just a shitty day to be truthfully honest....Although the day before hubby and Allysa did give me a birthday cake...complete with 36 candles on it...and they gave me Sweeney Todd as my gift....and then my hubby gives me my card...now as many of you know, things haven't been the greatest between us the past few years...mainly having to do with money issues, etc...and on the inside of the card, he writes, reproposing to me...He wants us to renew our wedding vows next year on our 15th anniversary...in church....because we didn't have a church wedding..He wants me to have the dress, the whole she-bang...Which really shocked me.....Things have been getting better, but I'm still not happy with myself....I'm slowly working on that.....So for now, I've told him yes, that we would...But we both have a LOT to work on....So we'll see once how that goes...
I've found a way to help combat the rising cost of filling up your gas tank...I've started to donate plasma....for $40 a pop, I can't beat that!!! And you can do it twice a week....So if I donate twice a week for a full month, that's over three hundred dollars!!!! They put your money on a nice VISA debit card which you can use just like a regular debit card....And for me to completley fill up my gas tank from like 1/8 of a tank to full, it is about $55...So that is only 1 1/2 times to donate! LOL! But I'm figuring it will help with Christmas this year and anything else that I might want to get or if Allysa needs something...and to help pay things back to a certain someone faster than I've been able to...and she knows who she is...It's much easier to me anyway, than donating blood...at least with the plasma, they give you a saline solution at the end of your donation to help replenish your fluids and you don't feel like passing out when you get up...It's only an hour and a half out of my day and it's better than going out and getting a second job! I'll be working more overtime at work again as the other person they hired for 3rd shift quit...As much as I don't mind as it's overtime, it does take away from my time with Allysa sometimes and she sure as heck lets me know it...But with us still in the early aftermath of our bankruptcy, I can't turn down the hours.....I know she doesn't completley understand, but I hope when she gets a little older, she will understand as to why I've done it...
I'm feeling inspired to write again...For a while there I was in a funk, which I HATE...but it happens to everyone I suppose...I'm still hoping to have my first book finished and to a publisher by the end of this year...I just need to keep plugging away at it and to not let anything or anyone stand in the way of my dreams...
My mom is scheduled to have her back surgery (her 3rd) on May 8th....So I'm stressed out about that...reason being she's a thousand miles away and there isn't anything I really can do...I just hope and pray that everything will go alright and that this time the surgery will work and she can be out of pain....
Goals for the summer: work on my book, get some more research done on my family tree, clean out all of the junk and crap out of my house and garage, lose weight, spend as much time with my daughter as possible....
Well, that sums things up for a while...LOL...I promise to keep more updated with things...I guess we all just get in those funks and sometimes we just end up shutting out those that are most important to us which is the wrong thing to do...
Love you all! HUGS!!Current Mood: calm

Just when you think that things are going to get better, then you have more crap happen!!!!!
Jon was in a car accident on Saturday. He's alright and the truck isn't in too bad of shape. He was making his first delivery for work and he was at a 4-way stop. It was his turn to go and just as the nose of the truck was in the intersection, this idiot comes barreling through the stop sign. Didn't even stop! He hit the front of the truck so hard that he spun his own car around and then ended up hitting some other guy that was at the other stop sign!...He scrapped against the front bumper, ripped the license plate off of the truck, the fog lights got ripped off, and on where the fog lights were, we have two really thick, strong tow rings. Well, one of those got completley torn off! And of course, he didn't have insurance!!!! Jon is okay, but his back is bothering him now. I told him he was damn lucky that he wasn't in the middle of the intersection or he would've got rammed right in the drivers side.
And then today, he parked in front of the house for like an hour. And when he went back outside to go for his pee test, he had a freakin' parking ticket!!!! Because apparently there was a snow emergency in effect. Well, when he was driving to the clinic, on the main streets where there isn't supposed to be any parking when there is a snow emergency. None of the cars had tickets on them. Yes it's only $25, but it's just the point!!!!!
Other than that, I guess it's going okay...LOL...despite the face that I am so BLOODY SICK AND TIRED OF WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday we had pouring rain and we got about an inch and a half of it. The weatherman said that if it would've been all snow, it would've added up to over twelve inches of snow! So this winter season, we've gotten close to eighty inches of snow! Grrrr...I told Allysa that when I was her age, snow like we have though was a normal everyday thing. We used to build snow forts and tunnels and we would play outside all day if we could. Not sure if she believed me or not! LOL!
Oh yes, on a good/cool note. I took a picture of Allysa on top of this HUGE snowpile at school a few weeks ago and I sent it in to the local paper because they're always asking for pics of kids in the snow, etc. Well, on Saturday, her picture was inside the paper! And as I was looking at the front page of the paper, it dawned on me that there she was again!! Only this time in color!!! It wasn't a very big picture. But still! LOL! I told her she was on thousands of papers and then she got that cute little embarassed smile.....
Other than that, nothing much else going on. I'm trying to continue with my book. Lately though I haven't been very inspired and I am considering a new story and might switch to that and put the one I've been working on on a back burner for now. Still not totally decided yet....
Hope everyone is well and staying warm.
